Internship Overview:
Anova is excited to provide a hands-on internship opportunity in the role of a Child Youth Care Worker. This role is part of their commitment to youth development and employment, where you will gain practical experience while making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals in need.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Engage with children and youth in various settings, such as community centers, schools, and support groups.
  • Facilitate activities that promote emotional, social, and educational development.
  • Assist with planning and organizing educational workshops and recreational events.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to young individuals in need of support.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to address the unique needs of each child or youth.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of interactions and progress.
  • Uphold the principles of child safety, dignity, and confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 as a minimum qualification. Child and Youth Care Work Qualification
  • Registration with South African Council for Social Service Professions
  • Must be unemployed.
  • From 18 to the age of 34 years
  • Persons with disabilities will be required to provide a medical certificate confirming the nature of the disability.
  • South African Citizens in possession of a valid South African ID will be considered.
  • Applicants must not be registered or involved in other experiential learning programmes for the duration of the YES programme
  • Applicants must not have previously registered and completed a YES programme
