Position Overview:
They are seeking a Maintenance Intern to be based at our maintenance facility in Kempton Park, Gauteng. This internship will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, enabling you to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to the safety and operational excellence of our fleet.
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) with various maintenance tasks.
- Perform basic maintenance and inspections under the supervision of qualified personnel.
- Assist in aircraft pre-flight checks, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Participate in aircraft ground handling activities.
- Learn about aircraft systems, components, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (or equivalent);
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Relevant Degree or Diploma
- Strong interest in aircraft maintenance and aviation.
- Basic understanding of aircraft systems and components.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
