Responsibilities:

  • Learning and Development: Work alongside experienced Mechanical Engineers and Technicians to gain practical experience in mechanical engineering processes.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshooting: Participate in identifying, diagnosing, and solving mechanical issues.
  • Project Support: Contribute to engineering projects aimed at improving efficiency and productivity.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and project progress.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills in mechanical engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / N5 with technical subjects, Mechanical or Electrical
  • S4 subjects completed or in the process, and looking to complete P1 and P2
  • Previous Food manufacturing experience will be advantageous
  • A strong passion for mechanical engineering and a desire to gain practical experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with engineering software is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
