Role Overview:
The primary objective of this position is to employ learners who have the potential to successfully complete the Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant course. This comprehensive course will provide learners with a strong foundation in the various facets of the pharmaceutical environment and dispensing, emphasizing the importance of high-quality on-the-job learning. Successful candidates will be hired for a Fixed Term position as Dispensary Support until they are officially registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as Learner Basic Assistants. Upon qualification as a Basic Pharmacist Assistant, permanent employment opportunities will be extended.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting qualified pharmacists in dispensing medication and providing pharmaceutical services.
- Learning and understanding the fundamental principles of pharmaceutical operations and processes.
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and ethical standards.
- Providing exceptional customer service and assistance to clients.
- Participating in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 – Matric or a Senior Certificate with Pure Mathematics 50%, Life Science and or Physical Science and obtained at least an average of 50%
- A passion for the pharmaceutical industry and a desire to pursue a career in this field.
