Responsibilities:

As a participant in the Youth Employment Service (YES) Initiative Learnership at Nedbank, your responsibilities will include:

  • Technical training: Undergo comprehensive theoretical and practical training in various aspects of Information Technology.
  • Project support: Assist with project activities under the guidance of experienced IT professionals, gaining practical experience in real-world IT projects.
  • Learning and development: Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities to enhance your technical skills and knowledge.
  • Team collaboration: Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to contribute to the successful completion of IT projects and initiatives.
  • Problem-solving: Develop problem-solving and analytical skills by identifying and resolving technical issues within the IT environment.
  • Compliance and documentation: Adhere to Nedbank’s policies, procedures, and governance standards, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with IT protocols.

Requirements:

To be considered for the Youth Employment Service (YES) Initiative Learnership at Nedbank, you should meet the following requirements:

  • South African citizenship.
  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification with Mathematics and/or IT-related subjects as an advantage.
  • Diploma or Degree in any of the following areas:  
    •    Data analytics or data science. 
    •    IT or computer science. 
    •    Stem
    •    Information technology 
  • A genuine interest in Information Technology and a desire to pursue a career in the IT industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and personal growth, demonstrating a proactive attitude towards acquiring new skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking to troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to IT projects.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
