Overview
General cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance (i.e. dust/sweep / polish / scrub / mop / clean windows / walls / equipment / machinery and refuse removal). Ensure effective Waste Management, Linen Management, etc.
Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Basic literacy and numeracy
- Experience: Appropriate experience in the field of domestic and health cleaning services
- Inherent requirements of the job: Physical able to lift and / or move heavy objects and supplies
- Ability to operate machinery and equipment
- Competencies (knowledge / skills): Good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the correct methods of handling and disposal of refuse/waste products and to adhere to policies and cleaning procedures
- Knowledge of legislation and policies of t he Department of Health and Wellness relevant to cleaning practise
Responsibilities
- General cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance (i.e. dust/sweep / polish / scrub / mop / clean windows / walls / equipment / machinery and refuse removal)
- Ensure effective Waste Management, Linen Management, etc
- Effective and efficient utilization and storage of cleaning materials and equipment
- Provide optimal support to the supervisor and colleagues with general housekeeping duties and services
- Adhere to general hygienic and safe environment in terms of standards and procedures
