Overview
Provision of basic cleaning services. Keeping and maintaining cleaning equipment and managing stock of cleaning materials.
Requirements
- An ABET certificate
- Experience in cleaning services will serve as an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of cleaning principles
- Basic knowledge of chemical use (dilution/mixing)
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment to be used
- Basic knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Knowledge of basic record keeping
- Basic understanding of applying safety rules
- Basic understanding of applying or using chemicals correctly
- Good communication and interpersonal relations
Responsibilities
- Provision of basic cleaning services
- Keeping and maintaining cleaning equipment and managing stock of cleaning materials
- Cleaning of offices corridors, elevators and boardrooms by dusting and waxing floors, sweeping, scrubbing and vacuuming and shampooin g of floors
- Cleaning walls, windows and doors
- Emptying and cleaning waste bins
- Collecting and removing office waste
- Freshening of offices, boardrooms, working areas, kitchen and storerooms
- Cleaning the restrooms, refilling the hand wash liquid soap, replacing paper towels, toilet paper and emptying and cleaning of wash waste bins
- Report broken machines’ equipment
- Cleaning of machines (microwaves, vacuum cleaners and equipment after use
- Request cleaning materials
- Assisting with other duties as and w hen required
