Overview
Provide a secretarial/receptionist support service to the manager. Render administrative support services to the manager.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) plus an accredited secretarial diploma and/or administrative qualification on the level of NQF level 5 or relevant higher tertiary qualification
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in rendering secret arial/ administrative support services to management/ senior management
- Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Filing and diary system
- Database administration
- Financial administration
- Legislative framework governing the public service
- OHS Act and procedures
- Skills in the following: Good telephone etiquette
- Computer Literacy
- Language skills
- Sound organisational skills
- Good people skills
- High level of reliability
- Written communication skills
- Ability to act with tact and discretion
- Information gathering and analysis of information
- Good grooming and presentation
- Self - management and motivation
- Typing and preparing legal correspondence and relevant documentation
- Basic conceptual, interpretive and formulation skills
Responsibilities
- Provide a secretarial/receptionist support service to the manager
- Render administrative support services to the manager
- Provide support to the senior manager regarding meetings
- Support the manager with the administration of the manager’s budget
- Study the relevant Public Service and departmental prescripts/ policies and other documents and ensure that the application thereof is understood properly
