Staff Nurse Grade 1 To 3

Overview

Development and implementation of basic patient care. Provide basic clinical nursing care.

Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse
• Registration with a professional council: Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse
• Experience: Grade 1: None
• Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate / recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Staff Nurse with the SANC
• Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate / recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Staff Nurse with the SANC
• Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, night duty and overtime when necessary
• Willi ngness to rotate between wards within hospital
• Competencies (knowledge/skills): Basic communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to function as part of a team
• Enhance patient care through the implementation of SOP’s, policies, and guidelines
