Western Cape Contract Posted 1 Oct 2026

Overview

The Data and Technology team operates across four functional domains: master data, analytics and reporting, Salesforce automation, and image recognition. This graduate role provides an entry point into a high-performance environment where a Data Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology background is directly applicable. The Graduate Specialist will be embedded within the Field Intelligence team, applying technical and analytical thinking to clean data, build dashboards, and help optimize the platforms that drive data visibility.

Requirements

  • Completed NQF Level 5 or 6 qualification in Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Recent graduate or candidate with 1–2 years of experience since completing their qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Work with data streams across the four tech domains to identify trends, inconsistencies, and patterns in retail field execution data.
  • Transform raw data from store visits and image recognition pipelines into structured datasets ready for business intelligence tools.
  • Produce clear, interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Pyramid Analytics, or Looker Studio).
  • Ensure reports effectively track key performance indicators (KPIs), cycle times, volume indicators, and exception paths for both internal tech leaders and field operations.
  • Analyse existing data pipelines and database workflows to identify latency, bottlenecks, and redundancies.
