Planning Intern

Overview

The Planning Intern at eMedia will support the Commercial Time Sales Team, assisting with customer inquiries, tracking deals, and preparing reports related to audience ratings and program performance. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, allowing the intern to develop skills in customer service and gain insights into contact center operations.

Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) – Essential
  • Diploma in Media Studies / similar (NQF Level 6) – Essential
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Intermediate English language proficiency
  • Accurate & good attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time and resolve issues efficiently
  • Good planning, organisation, and decision-making abilities
  • Commitment to continuous learning
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be under the age of 35

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation and updating of spot plans on Transmit
  • Assisting with tracking CPP/ROS deals and updating planning schedules
  • Supporting the team with compiling planning and inventory reports
  • Assisting with the analysis of audience ratings and programme performance
  • Assisting with post-campaign reporting and feedback preparation for clients
  • Providing administrative support to the Marketing Intelligence and Planning teams
  • Assisting with the preparation of presentations and proposals relevant to client advertising objectives
  • Conducting basic market and competitor research
  • Maintaining accurate records and filing of planning documentation
  • Ensuring all reports and trackers are updated timeously
