Aircraft Fleet Projects Specialist
Overview
The Aircraft Fleet Projects Specialist is responsible for coordinating physical inspections of aircraft, engines, major modules, and technical records as required by lessors and buyers. This role includes performing due diligence audits and technical reviews to verify compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, conducting inspections, overseeing maintenance activities during delivery projects, and providing technical guidance to ensure quality and compliance. The specialist also coordinates project requirements with various stakeholders, supports team members in resolving challenges, and maintains necessary documentation and plans throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential)
- Licensed AME with a SACAA A & C License on B737/800
Responsibilities
- Coordinate physical inspections of aircraft, engines, major modules, and technical records.
- Perform due diligence audits and technical reviews of aircraft records.
- Verify maintenance activities compliance with approved programmes and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct incoming and outgoing inspections of aircraft.
- Oversee maintenance activities during delivery and redelivery projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support relating to fault finding and rectification activities.
- Ensure timely availability of spares and modification work packs.
- Oversee and coordinate aircraft delivery and redelivery projects.
- Develop and maintain project plans and schedules.
- Prepare project progress reports for stakeholders.
- Provide oversight and direction to technicians assigned to projects.
- Identify and remove operational barriers impacting project delivery.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding project requirements.
