Overview
The Assistant Director for Cape Catalyst within the Department of Economic Development and Tourism at the Western Cape Government will support project coordination, funding development, compliance oversight, and performance monitoring. The role involves managing strategic planning through data analysis and systems while ensuring stakeholder alignment and effective budget management for various organizational programs.
Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification)
- A minimum of 3 years’ administrative or project management experience in an economic development environment
Responsibilities
- Provide project administration support in respect of projects and programmes
- Develop and prepare funding proposals for projects and programmes
- Provide project office services and administration as it relates to the programmes
- Develop and administer procurement processes or transfers of projects
- Develop terms of reference (ToR) and compliance processes
- Oversee service providers and implementing agencies compliance to terms and conditions of projects
- Monitor and evaluate project progress to ensure alignment of project objectives
- Identify project risks and implement risk mitigation measures
- Perform information gathering and analysis of findings
- Compile an inventory of data sources and develop information systems
- Coordinate suitable and preferred stakeholders to the development and implementation of projects and programmes
- Provide a secretariat service at stakeholder forums and with task teams
