Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Previous experience as a Barista, Café Assistant, or in a customer-facing hospitality role
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso-based beverages
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required
- Cash handling and POS experience will be advantageous
- Passion for coffee and beverage trends
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other café offerings
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for customers
- Operate coffee machines and related equipment in accordance with company standards
- Maintain product quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Ensure the coffee station and service areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Process customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
- Promote products and contribute to achieving sales targets
- Assist with catering events and mobile coffee services when required
