Overview

The Cabin Services Assistant Manager is responsible for daily management and supervision of Cabin Crew staff, overseeing recruitment processes, implementing training programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining crew morale. This role requires someone who can manage the administration of leave applications, budget control, and disciplinary actions while representing the Cabin Crew department in various meetings.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Hold a valid Cabin Crew Member license (Essential)
  • Minimum of 7 years' flying experience, of which at least 5 years must have been in an In-Charge/Senior Cabin Crew capacity (Essential)
  • Willingness and ability to travel between operational bases as required (Essential)
  • Clear disciplinary record (Essential)
  • Consistent and reliable attendance record (Essential)
  • Willingness and availability to work outside normal office hours, as required by operational demands (Essential)

Responsibilities

  • Daily management and supervision of Cabin Crew staff
  • Conduct screening, interviewing, vetting and selection of new entry Cabin Crew
  • Draft and implement changes to the FAM and training programmes as required
  • Prepare additions and amendments to the FAM
  • Review content of training material and exam papers
  • Attend training administration meetings
  • Compile directives and notices for cabin crew members as needed
  • Liaise with departments to ensure services procedures are communicated
  • Check Crew license currency daily
  • Manage administration and approval of all leave applications
  • Investigate abuse of leave/sick leave
  • Assist with budget preparation and administration for Cabin Crew department
  • Represent Cabin Crew department in management meetings
  • Prepare exception reports on roster fairness
  • Facilitate roster requests
  • Provide monthly guidance to the Rosters department
  • Implement SACAA regulations
  • Ensure compliance with Flight Operations processes
  • Action accident and incident reports
  • Escalate safety reports to Manager
  • Process and action cabin crew member flight reports
  • Monitor fatigue-related safety risks
  • Assist with implementation of departmental KPIs
  • Enforce welfare and morale of Cabin Crew members
  • Manage discipline and corrective measures for Cabin Crew
  • Coordinate Employee Relations activities with ER Team
