Campaign & Measurement Analyst
Overview
Woolworths is seeking a skilled Campaign & Measurement Analyst to join our Customer Insights & Analytics team in Cape Town, Western Cape. In this full-time role, you will leverage customer and campaign data to drive growth opportunities and enhance the customer experience by delivering actionable insights. You will manage end-to-end campaign measurement, develop customer segmentation strategies, and support lifecycle initiatives such as acquisition, retention, and cross-sell.
Requirements
- A 3 to 4 year Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Business Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Marketing Analytics or a related quantitative field.
- At least 5 years' experience in an analytical role, with a track record of turning customer or campaign analysis into measurable business outcomes.
- Comfortable working with large datasets, cloud-based analytical platforms and data processing for repeatable analytical solutions.
- Advanced SQL is essential.
- Experience in retail, loyalty, financial services, telecommunications or digital commerce would be an advantage.
- A relevant Honours or postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Exposure to automation, AI-enabled analytical tools, customer data platforms or journey orchestration would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Improve the way customers are targeted by developing and applying practical segmentation and targeting approaches using customer behaviour, campaign history and other relevant data.
- Use available analytical and automation tools to make targeting or execution more effective.
- Plan and deliver campaign measurement from start to finish.
- Set clear baselines, use test-and-control where appropriate, measure uplift, incrementality and ROI, and turn the results into recommendations for the next campaign.
- Support the execution and measurement of customer lifecycle initiatives across relevant customer, loyalty and digital journeys, with a focus on acquisition, retention, reactivation, cross-sell and growing customer value.
- Work with large and complex customer datasets to find meaningful patterns and commercial opportunities.
- Turn the analysis into clear recommendations for Marketing, Loyalty, Digital, Commercial and Customer Experience teams.
- Maintain good standards of data quality, governance and responsible data use.
- Work with Data and Technology teams to resolve data, reporting or analytical issues that affect campaign execution and measurement.
- Contribute to improving the team's analytical, automation and testing capability.
- Stay current on relevant tools and methods, and bring forward practical ideas that can solve real customer or business problems.
