The Catering Manager will be responsible for managing the unit by setting and maintaining service delivery standards, leading, motivating, and training staff, and implementing operational controls in accordance with budgetary requirements. This role requires a commitment to ensuring quality food preparation and service, while also managing administration, finances, and client relationships.

- National Senior Certificate

Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility and management of the unit
- Setting and management of service delivery standards
- Lead, motivate, train and develop a team of staff
- Implement and maintain operational controls in line with budgetary requirements
- Ensure quality of food preparation, presentation and service is up to standard
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
- Handle daily HR and IR issues, including training and performance management
- Analyze and pre-empt client needs and potential complaints
- Organize, prepare, and coordinate all functions
- Manage administration, finances, debtors, and budgets
- Process paperwork and compile weekly & monthly P&L
- Build relationships with clients and customers
- Stay updated on the latest food trends and best practices
