RPO Recruitment is seeking a dynamic Construction Project Manager to join a respected project management consultancy in Johannesburg. This role is ideal for a construction professional with a strong track record in delivering building and infrastructure projects within a consulting environment.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline
- Candidate or Professional Construction Project Manager registration with SACPCMP
- Approximately 5–10 years' experience in construction project management
- Proven experience managing projects from inception through to completion
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project planning and contract administration
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary professional teams, contractors and clients
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects throughout all phases, ensuring successful delivery in terms of scope, budget, quality and programme
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
- Chair and attend project meetings, preparing progress reports and maintaining clear communication with clients
- Manage project budgets, schedules and contract administration activities
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards and health and safety requirements
- Foster strong client relationships while maintaining high levels of service delivery
