Overview
A reputable construction company is looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor / Finishing Foreman to oversee all finishing activities in the Greater Cape Town CBD. The successful candidate will ensure that work is completed safely, meets high-quality standards, and adheres to project timelines during the finishing phases of large-scale multi-storey residential developments.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–10 years' experience in building construction
- Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor, Finishing Foreman, or similar role
- Strong experience on multi-storey residential construction projects
- Extensive knowledge of building finishes, quality control, and construction sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all finishing trades on site
- Manage day-to-day site activities during the finishing phase of construction
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and programme requirements
- Coordinate subcontractors and monitor productivity
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure all finishes meet required standards
- Identify and resolve site-related issues efficiently
- Monitor health and safety compliance across all finishing activities
- Liaise with site management, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
- Assist with snagging, handover inspections, and close-out of defects
- Ensure materials, labour, and equipment are effectively coordinated
- Maintain accurate site records and progress reports
