The Inbound Supervisor at Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ Distribution Centre in Midrand is responsible for achieving operational excellence within the warehouse by overseeing the Receiving, Returns, and Pack-Away departments. Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric with English and Mathematics
  • 1 Year relevant experience in a Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment
  • Supply-Chain or Logistics Degree or Diploma (advantageous)
  • Previous work experience in an Ethical/Pharmaceutical Warehouse (advantageous)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate verification, scanning, and capturing of physical goods receipts.
  • Verify that delivered quantities match invoices.
  • Double-check handling units by another clerk before release for pack-away.
  • Assist the receiving manager in preparing and logging warehouse claims.
  • Despatch returns uplifted by suppliers upon presentation of a pick-up slip.
  • Accept and be accountable for all goods received.
  • Maintain accurate administration including CHEP documents and GRN notes.
  • Claim for shortages and damages within the supplier's time period.
  • Ensure all stock is packed away neatly and professionally.
  • Manage physical controls over the receiving area.
  • Ensure areas and storerooms are orderly and acceptable.
  • Manage high-risk and temperature-sensitive stock.
  • Prevent possible losses in the immediate surroundings.
