Debtors Clerk
Overview
RCL FOODS is a deeply rooted South African food manufacturer that produces some of the country’s most-loved brands. The Debtors Clerk will be responsible for ensuring accurate management of debtor accounts, timely recovery of outstanding amounts, and the availability of up to date financial information.
Requirements
- Matric
- Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in working on SAP as an ERP System
Responsibilities
- Credit Control: Receive remittance advices from customers and allocate appropriately, clear all allocated cash in the General Ledger, run statements on SAP prior to agreed monthly deadlines and distribute to customers, assist with reconciliation of Inter-branch / Inter-company accounts.
- Customer Administration: Maintain compliance to credit limits for each customer, liaise with customers regarding balances, report on all transactions on 60 days plus to the Finance Manager, process ‘stop supply’ instructions on SAP.
- Intercompany Transactions: Assist with inter-company account reconciliations and confirmations.
- Treasury Administration: Review monthly loan schedule for balances, complete inter-company account reconciliations, process monthly interest journals.
- Year End Support: Consolidate provision schedule for group submission, assist with group reporting pack and statutory annual financial statement pack.
- General Administration: Good housekeeping and ad hoc duties including general filing and record maintenance.
- Information and Data management: Ensure accurate data capture onto SAP.
- Teamwork and Self-Management: Take ownership and accountability for tasks, support and drive the business core values.
