Overview
The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to promote the Sustainable Resource Use and Management Programme of the Western Cape Department of Agriculture in the Metropole area, focusing on planning of farms, administration of schemes and delivering advice to stakeholders.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Degree in Civil Engineering or appropriate B.Sc. Degree or appropriate B.Sc. Degree in Agriculture
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience required in natural resources
- 3 years managerial experience
Responsibilities
- Manage the administration of schemes and provision of agricultural disaster risk reduction support services
- Manage planning of farms and LandCare services in the conservation of the natural agricultural resources
- Render advice to stakeholders and promote integrated governmental relations and partnerships building
- Financial Management
