Draughtsperson (GRADING C4)
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- National Diploma in Draughting / Engineering Drawing or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Draughtsperson in the mining industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD software
- Sound knowledge of mining layouts, shaft systems, and infrastructure design
- Understanding of relevant legislation and safety standards
Responsibilities
- Prepare, update, and maintain technical drawings, layouts, and plans for mining operations and infrastructure
- Interpret and convert survey data, engineering designs, and geological information into detailed drawings
- Ensure all drawings comply with statutory regulations and company standards
- Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and geologists to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
- Maintain drawing registers and document control systems
- Conduct regular updates of plans to reflect operational changes underground and on surface
- Assist with project planning by providing accurate visual representations of designs
- Ensure adherence to Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirements
