RPO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to oversee the construction and successful delivery of large-scale electrical engineering projects in Durban. This role involves managing project teams and contractors, ensuring compliance with quality standards and health regulations, and administering construction contracts.
Requirements
- High Mast Lighting design and construction management
- Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical projects
- Solar energy design and implementation projects
- Construction management and contract administration
- Structural assessments
- Project planning and scheduling using MS Project
- Experience managing projects with a construction value exceeding R25 million
Responsibilities
- Manage the construction and successful delivery of electrical engineering projects from inception to completion
- Oversee contractors and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
- Administer construction contracts and ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements
- Coordinate project teams, consultants, contractors, and clients throughout the construction phase
- Monitor project programmes, budgets, progress, and reporting
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance during construction
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality management procedures
