The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring that the Distribution Centre complies with health and safety regulations. This role involves preparing for emergencies and responding to incidents, as well as overseeing contractor management and conducting audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Safety Management (Preferred)
- 2-4 years’ relevant experience, FMCG and Distribution Centre exposure
- Incident investigation knowledge
- First responder training (desirable)
- Detail-oriented
- Perceptive interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Conduct contractor management, audits, and maintain a valid permit to work database
- Review and test emergency contingency measures
- Conduct risk assessments and develop programs to mitigate HSE risks
- Perform incident investigations in compliance with legal requirements
- Compile statistical analytics and present KPI objectives to management
