Hostess
Overview
Fedics is in search for a Wardhostess who works individually on patient wards. The hostess will serve breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks in a very busy, fast paced environment.
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate
- Previous experience in a hospital environment would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Serve patients with tea/coffee and alternative snacks
- Fill in menu cards correctly with choice of patient
- Return menu cards to kitchen as soon as possible
- Update diet list before meals
- Bring diet alterations to attention immediately
- Take trolleys from kitchen to wards and return after serving meals
- Check trays are complete before placing in trolley and before serving to patients
- Remove trays immediately after patient has eaten
- Wash cutlery after every meal
- Maintain strict controls over cutlery used in the ward
- Keep the ward kitchen neat and tidy at all times
