Overview
The position of Junior Technical Marketer is ideal for a person with an interest in the marketing and sales of fertiliser products, as well as providing technical support and agronomic advice to producers. The successful candidate will receive guidance and support to further develop their technical knowledge, marketing skills and exposure to producers.
Requirements
- A BSc Agric degree, with Soil Science as a relevant field of study
- An Honours qualification in Soil Science or a related agricultural field will be an advantage
- Relevant work experience and a genuine interest in the field will support the candidate’s application
- Knowledge of, or experience with, BASOS and AVCASA courses will be an advantage, but is not essential
- Computer literacy (MS Office) and the ability to prepare basic reports and presentations
- A valid Code B (Code 08) driver’s licence is required
Responsibilities
- Farm visits to monitor plant health, soil conditions and crop performance
- Support in developing and expanding a network and contact base of existing and potential clients
- Exposure to market trends and competitor activities
