Overview
A well-established financial services company is seeking a qualified Life Insurance Broker to join their team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of life insurance products, relevant regulatory requirements, and a passion for building lasting client relationships. This role focuses on new business development while managing an existing client portfolio, with dedicated administrative support and inbound sales appointments provided.
Requirements
- Minimum NQF 4 qualification in a relevant financial field (minimum 120 credits)
- RE5 qualification (non-negotiable)
- Personal and Commercial Class of Business accreditation (required for representatives registered after 2017)
- Sound knowledge of FAIS, FICA, and POPIA legislation
- Previous experience in life insurance sales or financial advisory services is advantageous
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and client service skills
- Professional, self-motivated, and target-driven
Responsibilities
- Sell life insurance policies and achieve monthly new business targets
- Manage and service an existing portfolio of clients through regular reviews and policy maintenance
- Meet with prospective clients through appointments generated by the inbound call centre
- Provide professional financial advice tailored to clients' insurance needs
- Ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, POPIA, and all relevant regulatory requirements
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service
- Oversee and work closely with the administrative assistant to ensure efficient processing of quotations and servicing requests
- Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation
