Structural Modeller - Consulting Industry
Overview
RPO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Structural Modeller to join a leading engineering consulting firm in Pretoria, Gauteng. This office-based role involves developing accurate 3D structural models, producing construction drawings, and coordinating with other project disciplines on a variety of projects including commercial, industrial, and mining infrastructure.
Requirements
- National Diploma/Certificate (or equivalent) in Draughting, Civil Engineering, Multi-disciplinary Drawing Office Practice, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' structural drafting/modelling experience within a consulting engineering environment.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Experience using ProBar for reinforcement detailing and bending schedules.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience with Navisworks, BIM Collaborate/BIM 360, or Prokon.
- Solid understanding of reinforced concrete and structural steel detailing.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Exposure to commercial, industrial, mining, airport, bridge or water-retaining structure projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop accurate 3D structural models using Autodesk Revit.
- Produce reinforced concrete and structural steel construction drawings.
- Prepare reinforcement detailing drawings and bending schedules using ProBar.
- Coordinate structural models with other project disciplines.
- Update drawings and models in line with engineering revisions.
- Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with project and company standards.
- Provide drawing support throughout the design and construction phases.
