Overview

The Management Accountant role at RCL Foods focuses on supporting the Beverages Operating Unit by providing insightful financial analysis and reporting. The accountant will compile sales reports, conduct yield variance reporting, and assist in month-end processes while maintaining efficient financial controls and contributing to commercial decision-making through data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • CA(SA) with 1-2 years post articles experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Management accounting principles and practices
  • Product costing principles, practices and performance indicators
  • Knowledge of business strategies, business processes, and controls
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports including production, consumption and sales
  • Review daily and weekly BOM consumption and product costing reports
  • Compile weekly and monthly reports of actual raw material usage vs standard (Yield Analysis)
  • Investigate variances by validating the logic of BOMs loaded on SAP
  • Engage with operational teams to investigate variances
  • Prepare a monthly product costing report with explanations for the management accounting pack
  • Prepare and review the monthly reconciliations in product costing and cost center accounting
