Material Planner
Overview
Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, etc.; Schedule and oversee the supply and delivery of materials and products from the Warehouse to the Hangar; Ensure that Non-Routine Cards (NRCs) are promptly addressed and resolved as they arise; Forecast procurement of necessary materials; Monitor and liaise with the Maintenance floor, Warehouse, Production Control, Procurement, Receiving and Purchasing regarding the procurement process; Understand risks to minimise the impact on the production schedule; Ensure that data is accurately captured on systems and up to date, and resolve any issues identified; Monitor the integrity of the Bill of Materials (BOM); Create and analyse reports to mitigate any risks; Review work orders, ensure items requiring follow-up are acted on appropriately and assist in tracking these actions to completion; Attend meetings as required; Maintain inventory at levels to support company goals while maintaining a high level of customer service and eliminating production downtime; Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets, support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement; Update and maintain the Pilot Warehouse; Maintain beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. specialist major module parts vendors) to foster meaningful interactions.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field (Advantageous)
- 3–5 years' warehouse experience (Essential)
- Experience working with an ERP system (Essential)
- Willingness to work shifts or overtime as and when required
- Knowledge and understanding of the MS Office suite
- Knowledge of lean techniques
- Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies
