Mechanic Assistant
Overview
The Mechanic Assistant at Fidelity Services Group plays a critical role in supporting the mechanic at the Parow Branch. This entry-level position involves assisting with the servicing and maintenance of vehicles, ensuring that they are in optimal condition. This role provides an opportunity for individuals to gain experience in mechanical work while working under the guidance of the Fleet Manager.
Requirements
- Clear criminal record
- At least 2-5 years’ experience in mechanical work
- Experience working with Hino 300’s, Hilux D4D’s, Chevy’s, MP200’s is an advantage
- Driver's License (preferably code 10)
- Own transport is an advantage
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including shifts and overtime
Responsibilities
- Servicing of vehicles
- Day to day maintenance on vehicles
- Assisting with basic workshop duties
- Standby duties
