Media Analyst - Midrand
Overview
The Media Analyst is responsible for analysing and reporting on media performance across channels, providing insights to support optimisation, improve efficiency, and inform media planning and investment decisions. The role supports Media Excellence by ensuring accurate performance tracking, developing clear reporting, and translating data into actionable insights that enhance campaign effectiveness across the Dis-Chem ecosystem.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Analytics, Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in media analytics, campaign reporting, or performance roles
Responsibilities
- Analyse performance across digital and ATL media campaigns, including reach, engagement, conversion, and efficiency metrics
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to improve media performance
- Evaluate campaign performance against defined objectives and KPIs
- Develop and maintain media performance reports and dashboards
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across platforms and reporting outputs
- Provide channel-level insights and recommendations to support optimisation
- Ensure performance tracking aligns with defined measurement frameworks and KPIs
- Work closely with AdTech to support accurate tracking, tagging, and attribution inputs
- Validate data integrity across media platforms and reporting systems
- Support optimisation of media campaigns by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and return on investment
- Contribute to testing and learning initiatives across campaigns and channels
- Work closely with Media Excellence, Media Buying, AdTech, and CRM teams
- Provide inputs into campaign reviews, performance discussions, and planning cycles
- Support consolidated reporting by providing accurate and timely data to the Insights & Reporting function
