MEPF Co-Ordinator – Cape Town – Construction Industry
Overview
A leading construction company is seeking an experienced MEPF Co-ordinator to join its Cape Town team. This opportunity is suited to a technically strong professional with experience coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire (MEPF) systems within building construction projects.
Requirements
- 3–5 years' experience in MEPF coordination, particularly across Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- Relevant qualification within the built environment will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of building construction processes and practices.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards relating to electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience coordinating MEPF subcontractors and project teams.
- Strong technical drawing and document review capabilities.
- South African citizenship.
- Experience with relevant MEPF software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEPF design and coordination software.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate MEPF systems across building construction projects.
- Coordinate Mechanical and Electrical services with the wider project team.
- Work closely with subcontractors, consultants, clients, and construction teams.
- Review and analyse technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Identify and resolve technical coordination issues and clashes.
- Provide technical guidance and support relating to MEPF systems.
- Assist with project scheduling and monitor progress against programme.
- Ensure MEPF installations are completed on time and within project requirements.
- Assist with project management and coordination activities.
- Ensure designs and installations comply with relevant building codes, regulations, standards, and project specifications.
- Coordinate multiple project requirements and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Support the construction team with technical problem-solving and MEPF-related issues.
