Overview

Opportunity for a highly organised, detail driven and proactive Paralegal | Trade Mark Administrator to join our established and growing practice. Work alongside experienced IP professionals and gain practical exposure to Trade Mark enforcement matters.

Requirements

  • Completed diploma | equivalent in law
  • At least 2 years' relevant experience in an IP law firm, legal environment or similar professional services environment
  • Practical knowledge of Trade Marks
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, client focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with Patricia and Elite will be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Managing Trade Mark files, documentation, evidence and deadlines
  • Maintaining accurate matter and diary information on relevant systems
  • Supporting Trade Mark enforcement matters, including bundles, evidence and court related administration
  • Assisting with Trade Mark Registry searches, journal watching, status checks and CIPC processes
  • Coordinating communication and documentation with clients, foreign agents, counsel and other stakeholders
  • Supporting billing, time recording and disbursement administration
  • Providing reliable day to day support to the Trade Mark Enforcement team
