Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies require the services of a reputable Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic Qualified - PBQ for their New Market store. You will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing pharmaceutical expertise to patients and healthcare professionals, and ensuring the safe and effective use of prescription medications.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant Qualification
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Willing and able to work retail hours
- Knowledge of Retail/ FMCG operations (advantageous)
- 3rd Additional Language (advantageous)
- Knowledge of or experience in SAP and E-Scripting (advantageous)
- Unisolve Experience (advantageous)
Responsibilities
- Dispensing medications under the direct personal supervision of a pharmacist
- Providing instructions regarding the correct use of medicine supplied
- Advising and assisting patients at the dispensary and self-medication counter
- Processing paperwork for accurate submission of claims to medical schemes
- Maintaining customer profiles on the system
- Reporting on low/out of stock levels to the dispensary manager
- Ensuring housekeeping is in accordance with Dis-Chem standards
- Adhering to health and safety rules and regulations
