Photography Lead
Overview
The Photography Lead is responsible for capturing and producing high-quality visual content for the organization's website and social media platforms. This role not only involves hands-on photography but also includes leading a team of photographers and stylists, ensuring that all visual content adheres to brand standards and meets production timelines.
Requirements
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Diploma/Degree) in Photography or Visual Arts
- 3 - 5 years relevant website/social media photography experience in a digital environment
- Proven experience in both e-commerce and social media photography in fashion
- Experience in directing models during clothing, footwear and accessory photographic shoots
- Strong understanding of studio lighting and modifiers (Godox experience preferred)
- Ability to prioritize workloads and operate multiple projects simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Lead styling, photography and layout recommendations for shoots
- Stay abreast of e-commerce trends and improve efficiency in quality and time to produce photographs
- Oversee the delivery of accurate, colour-consistent, and commercially effective photography
- Tether all images to CaptureOne proficiently
- Capture engaging digital photographic content for social media platforms
- Direct shoots, coordinate sets, and tailor photography styles to match social media performance data
- Manage the photographic studio, equipment, and digital library
- Responsible for the photographic budget and procurement of materials
- Build relationships with freelancers and agencies for efficiency
- Maintain equipment and ensure filing remains organized and up to date
- Provide mentoring and support to interns and marketing staff
- Ensure consistent image quality and adherence to studio processes
- Participate in team meetings and photography workshops
