Overview

Nurture Health is seeking a passionate and patient-centred Physiotherapist to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. Reporting to the Therapy Manager, you will play a critical role in helping patients regain strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence.

Requirements

  • Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), Board for Physiotherapy, Podiatry, and Biokinetics, in the category Independent Practice (Physiotherapy)
  • Proven experience in physical rehabilitation, with strong clinical reasoning, holistic assessment, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Sound knowledge of the Health Professions Act, Physiotherapy Scope of Practice Regulations, HPCSA and SASP professional guidelines, with a commitment to accountability, empathy, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients’ physical and functional abilities and develop, implement, and monitor individualised physiotherapy treatment plans
  • Deliver interventions including mobility retraining, neurorehabilitation, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation, balance retraining, fall prevention, exercise prescription, wheelchair seating, and mobility equipment prescription
  • Provide patient and caregiver education, plan discharge and home exercise programmes, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on patient-centred goals, and maintain accurate clinical documentation and billing records
