Overview
Nurture Health is seeking a compassionate, accountable, and patient-centred Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. Reporting to the Nursing Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care, optimising patients’ clinical status, and enabling meaningful participation in rehabilitation programmes.
Requirements
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
- Proven experience managing medically complex patients in a high-demand clinical environment
- Strong clinical assessment, nursing leadership, delegation, communication, and rehabilitation-focused care planning skills
- Ability to influence interdisciplinary decision-making
- Passionate about rehabilitation and patient wellbeing
- Committed to professional ethics, teamwork, continuous learning, adaptability, accountability, and calm decision-making under pressure
Responsibilities
- Execute and coordinate nursing care plans
- Allocate and delegate nursing activities
- Monitor patients’ clinical status to ensure safe, effective care
- Manage medication administration, emergency equipment, emergency responses, wound and continence care, and support safe patient discharge processes
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families
- Contribute to clinical decision-making
- Maintain accurate clinical reporting
