Overview
Motus Autoworx is looking for candidates with relevant polishing experience to polish vehicles after the painting process to achieve a high-quality paint finish.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
- Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license
- Basic computer literacy
- Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing
Responsibilities
- Check that paint is properly dry before polishing
- Ensure vehicles are polished evenly without damaging the paint surface
- Inspect for overspray and report issues to the Spray Painter or Production Manager
- Check colour-match accuracy and report concerns to the Spray Painter or Production Manager
- Remove excess polish before handing vehicles over to assembly
- Blow dust off vehicles before handing them over to the wash bay
- Book hand-held tools and equipment into the storeroom at the end of each shift
- Safeguard and take care of all tools and equipment
