Requirements
- Grade 12 Mathematics (HG)
- Life Science and/or Physical Science with at least an average of 50%
- Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant Qualification
- Computer and numerical skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with the sale of Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 medicines
- Support the compounding and preparation of non-sterile or sterile medicines
- Re-package and control stock of Schedule 1 to Schedule 5 medicines
- Read and prepare prescriptions, label, and supply medicines
- Provide instructions for the correct use of supplied medicines
- Capture and verify patient details accurately
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, and labeling of medication
- Stay updated on medical aid procedures and claims
- Assist patients at the dispensary and self-medication counter
