Process Control Assistant X2
Overview
Rand Water is recruiting two Process Control Assistants to support daily plant operations. The role combines housekeeping duties with practical assistance to process controllers.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or an equivalent school-leaving qualification.
- Water treatment knowledge or Blue Drop requirements experience would be an advantage.
- One year of cleaning experience would be an advantage.
- Previous exposure to water purification would also be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning allocated sections of the plant.
- Maintaining cleanliness in engine rooms, control rooms and battery rooms.
- Cleaning switchgear room floors and toilets.
- Reporting unsafe acts, working conditions and unusual occurrences.
- Assisting process controllers with putting pumps on load and taking them off load.
- Opening and closing suction and delivery valves.
- Collecting water samples.
- Operating pipeline isolation valves manually.
- Assisting with unloading chlorine drums and ammonia.
