Overview
Rand Water is looking for a candidate to maintain good housekeeping of engine rooms, control rooms, battery rooms, toilets, and switchgear rooms’ floors. To report unsafe acts and/or working conditions as well as any abnormalities to his or her shift supervisor.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Blue Drop Requirements: Water Treatment will serve as an advantage
- 1 year’s cleaning experience will serve as an advantage
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness on all plants
- Clean section of plant as allocated
- Report unsafe conditions or acts
- Assist Process Controller in putting pumps on load/taking pumps off load
- Open or close suction and delivery valves
- Take water samples
- Manual operation of pipeline isolating valves
- Unloading of chlorine drum
- Unloading of ammonia
