Procurement Specialist: Stock, Services and Infrastructure
Overview
Lesaka Merchant is looking for a Procurement Specialist: Stock, Services and Infrastructure to intelligently procure fintech stock, services, and infrastructure through the application of specialised procurement, supplier management, and commercial expertise. This role is responsible for ensuring that stock, services, and infrastructure are procured in a manner that mitigates risk, supports operational continuity, enables technology and infrastructure requirements, and ensures compliance with all applicable specifications, standards, and lifecycle management requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–5 years' experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, or related commercial functions
- Experience within banking, fintech, payments, financial services, or similar fast-paced industries
- Strong understanding of procurement governance, supplier management, and supply chain operations
- Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders at all organisational levels, including senior leadership
Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of procurement requirements through the Merchant Operations Division procurement catalogue
- Analyse capacity plans, technician deployment schedules, historical purchasing trends, and business forecasts to develop structured procurement plans
- Manage strategic sourcing initiatives across stock, services, and infrastructure categories
- Evaluate suppliers against quality, scalability, integration capability, and service requirements
- Negotiate favourable pricing structures, payment terms, and volume discounts
- Monitor supplier performance and obtain feedback on stock, services, and infrastructure quality
- Develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers and service providers
- Provide specialist procurement support for inventory, operational services, and infrastructure requirements
- Partner with business functions to understand procurement requirements and future demand
