Recruitment Officer - Montague Gardens - Cape Town
Overview
We’re looking for an energetic and organised Recruitment Officer to support high-volume recruitment across Pedro’s stores in Cape Town. This is a hands-on recruitment role for someone who enjoys working at pace, engaging with people and making sure our stores have the right talent, at the right time.
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 – essential
- A Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or a related field is advantageous
- 1–3 years' recruitment or HR administration experience, ideally within a high-volume or multi-site environment
- Experience recruiting or screening for entry-level/frontline positions
- Retail, FMCG, hospitality or another high-turnover environment would be advantageous
- Experience using an ATS or recruitment database
- Strong organisation, communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple vacancies simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for crew and entry-level store positions
- Support recruitment for supervisory and junior management roles
- Screen applications and conduct telephonic and in-person interviews
- Proactively source candidates and build talent pipelines for recurring store vacancies
- Partner with Store and Operations Managers to understand hiring requirements and priorities
- Coordinate interviews, hiring days and high-volume recruitment initiatives
- Manage offers, pre-employment checks and recruitment documentation
- Maintain accurate candidate and vacancy information on recruitment systems
- Keep candidates and hiring managers informed throughout the recruitment process
