Overview
The Mondia HealthCare Group requires a Registered Nurse who will be based at our Mondia Vereeniging facility in Gauteng reporting to the Unit Manager. The role involves delivering safe, quality nursing care, assessing and monitoring patient health, providing a supportive environment, managing medication, and facilitating therapy compliance.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in General Nursing Science with Psychiatry
- Registered with SANC
- Experience within a Mental Health environment (advantageous)
- Experience/knowledge in substance use disorders
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, quality nursing care according to the scope of practice
- Assess, observe, monitor and provide information about patient health and behaviour
- Provide a safe and supportive physical and psychological environment
- Manage and educate patients regarding prescribed medication
- Support patients with therapy interventions during their daily schedule
- Facilitate patient compliance with therapy activities and daily schedule
- Show awareness of the Mental Healthcare Act no 17 of 2002
