Security Control Room Operator

Overview

The Security Control Room Operator is responsible for receiving, coordinating, monitoring and overseeing all security control room operations across Clinix Health Group facilities. The role ensures the effective monitoring of CCTV systems, incident management, security escalations and coordination with outsourced security service providers to safeguard Clinix assets, employees, patients and visitors.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• CCTV Certification
• Security Certification
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a security control room or similar security and surveillance environment
• Advantageous: PSIRA Grade A Qualification

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems across Clinix Health Group facilities and identify unusual or suspicious activity
• Analyse alerts, incidents and exception reports and escalate matters requiring further investigation
• Coordinate responses with contracted security companies, hospital management and emergency response services
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, response times and security breaches
• Ensure CCTV footage is recorded, archived and managed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Ensure access to control room systems and CCTV footage is restricted to authorised personnel only
• Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance requirements
• Support investigations through the review and provision of authorised CCTV footage
• Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide regular security reports and updates to management
• Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures and applicable legislation
• Identify opportunities to improve security monitoring processes and operational effectiveness
