The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, managing legal risks, and supporting mergers and acquisitions through detailed due diligence, all while collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and promote best legal practices.
Requirements
- LLB Bachelor of Law
- Magister Legum (LLM) (Recommended/Desirable)
- A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience practicing law with a focus on commercial transactions and contract law
- Psychometric Assessment
- Certificate of Fitness
- Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Strong knowledge of commercial law principles, contract law, intellectual property rights, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience conducting legal due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, and investments in the mining sector
- Demonstrated capability in managing legal disputes, claims, and litigation
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs on legal compliance and best practices
