Overview
Exxaro Resources is seeking two skilled Senior Officers, Payroll to join their team in Centurion, Gauteng. This permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing while ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational standards. The role involves maintaining payroll data accuracy, providing support across teams, and enhancing payroll processes through various payroll systems.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Payroll Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field
- Certificate in Payroll
- Diploma in Payroll Management (Recommended/Desirable)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within an integrated payroll administration environment
- Proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors Payroll, SAP HCM, or other cloud-based payroll platforms (added advantage)
- Competence in SAP Position Specific Module
- Competence in MS Office
- Psychometric Assessment (To be conducted by Exxaro)
- Certificate of Fitness (To be conducted by Exxaro)
- Strong understanding of payroll risk management, reconciliation, audit processes, and legislative compliance
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing in compliance with legislative and organisational governance requirements
- Maintain and improve payroll data integrity, supporting master data governance across HR and payroll systems
- Manage payroll calculations, conduct reconciliations, implement risk controls, and support audits
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and drive payroll digital transformation initiatives
