Overview
The Store Manager is responsible for leading the store team to achieve business KPIs, which include driving sales, managing costs, mitigating risks, and minimizing stock loss. This role involves ensuring adherence to administrative duties, maintaining world-class store standards, and fostering a positive store culture through effective team training and coaching.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Proficient in English
- Relevant tertiary education - a degree/diploma in a business/retail related field would be an advantage
- Ideally 1-2 years experience in a retail environment within a leadership role
- Computer Literate (Microsoft and/or Google GSuite - will be an advantage)
Responsibilities
- Increase sales by focusing on customer service and store standards, stock management, and promotional implementation
- Minimize stock loss by cultivating a healthy store culture and following security measures, stock, and cash handling procedures
- Manage costs efficiently according to the company’s low-cost culture
- Ensure administrative duties are performed according to company guidelines
- Lead and develop a dynamic team, taking responsibility for training, coaching, and performance management
- Maintain general health, safety, and housekeeping standards
